for Linux Workstations (Stations 1, 3~6)
Logging in
- Choose a username. Clickable usernames are "estaff", "mauistaff", and "member", which should appear on the login screen. The login "mauistaff" is optimized for staff, and "member" for participants. Click "enter".
- Enter password when prompted. Passwords are the same as usernames for mauistaff and member. After entering password, click "enter" key.
Logging out, two methods
- Method 1
- At the far right of the screen is an orange icon with an white circle open at top and white line. Clicking on this icon will produce the logout dialog.
- Click "logout".
- Method 2
- Left click in any free screen area, that is, an area of the screen that isn't occupied by a window, icon, etc. The main menu will appear.
- Choose System ~ Log Out (The System menu will be at the bottom)
for iMac
Logging in
- Choose a username. There are lots, so if your username is not at the beginnning of the alphabet you may have to type it. Typing it will automatically position it at the center of the computer screen.
- Enter password where prompted.
- Click "enter".
Logging out
- Go to the Apple menu at the top far left of the screen. Click on the Apple icon.
- Select "Logout ..." at the bottom of the menu. Login screen will appear.
Other Logins
Music and Photography
- A few computers that are capable enough have logins optimized for music and photography. For these logins you will have to choose "other" from the list of users and enter both the username and password as prompted.
- Music The username is "music" and password is "ilovemusic", all lower-case.
- PhotographyBoth username and password are "photography", lower-case.
